Udo was asked why they decided to re-rerecord the Ball to the Wall album he said, "It was not planned (the Album). We were just planning do a 4 year anniversary of Balls to the Wall on tour and some festivals (playing the whole album). A lot of singers came up to us and said what you doing special for the 40 Years of of 'Ball to the wall' and I said we are planning a tour and then they came up and said I really love to sing a song of an Album. So I thought to myself this album to touch it again is very critical and criminal, this is like the holy cow of Accept. So and then we were sitting down and thinking and saying okay what can we do? If we do it we do it with guest singers. So and then we made a list with all the singers we had in mind and started talking to the record company and of course the record company always said wow yeah great idea. For me I'm happy that we did the whole thing. I'm really happy with the result.

Back in time for its 40th anniversary, ACCEPT’s Udo Dirkschneider is thrilled to release the re-imagined version of the legendary album Balls to the Wall, coming February 28th, 2025. This genre-defining record showcases a powerhouse collective of talent, breathing new life and energy into each track. Featuring collaborations with iconic vocalists and musicians from the rock and metal scene, the re-release offers a fresh take on classic anthems, while staying true to the original spirit of the album. Fans can expect powerful performances, a redefined sound, and an exciting tribute to an album that has shaped the landscape of heavy metal for decades.
Udo states, “This reinterpretation of "Balls To The Wall" not only makes the original songs shine anew but also underscores the album's timeless relevance and influence on the metal scene. At the same time, it becomes clear that this is no ordinary attempt to revive an untouchable work. Instead, it's a celebration of the legacy of "Balls To The Wall," with the blessing and enthusiasm of many significant voices in the genre.
The result is a tribute to the history of heavy metal and proof of how enduring and inspiring this album remains, even four decades later.”
