Overkill slashed and burned through a wicked, 45-minute set of hard-core infused classics and new tracks. Led by master of ceremonies, and quintessential thrash voice, Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth, the band, featuring Dave Linsk (guitar), Derek Tailer (guitar), new drummer Jeramie Kling, and Christian Olde Wolbers (ex-Fear Factory, Violence) filling in for DD Verni on bass, delivered on the old adage of “leave them wanting more”!

Opener Scorched, from 2023’s album of the same name, brought the filled to capacity MTELUS fans to their feet, with the mosh pit kicking into overdrive as the band then journeyed back to 1985 with Rotten To The Core. Bring Me The Night, Hello From The Gutter, The Surgeon, Ironbound, Elimination, and traditional closer F*ck You followed, and fan enthusiasm and energy was off the charts, as the green and black army and band matched each other blow for blow on the intensity meter. Judging by the bands facial expressions and reciprocal energy Montreal, Canada may have been a tour highlight city for them.

The table had been set, and the bar raised, for the arrival of the King!
