Jimmy Kay from Canada's The Metal Voice spoke to Halestorm singer Lzzy Hale at The Hall of Heavy Metal History Red Carpet on January 24 2018 as she was being inducted.
When asked about her induction she said,"I'm still waiting for someone to say yeah we really screwed up? It's such a tremendous honor, the other inductee aren't even my peers they are my idols. " When asked if it is still difficult for a woman to get ahead in the Heavy Metal hard rock genre she replied,"I think there is still an under current of a struggle for women in Metal but it's definitely gotten better. I got to talk to Lita Ford and Pat Benatar and they were telling me about these incredible situations that they were in in order to get their record played. Thanks to our fore Mothers I haven't had to do some of the things they had to do. "
